Jean-Philippe Platteau
University of Namur, BelgiumJean-Philippe Platteau is EMERITUS Professor of economics, and FOUNDING MEMBER of CRED (Centre de Recherche en Economie du Developpement), at the University of Namur, Belgium. He received his PhD. in Economics from University of Namur. His main research area is Development Economics and Economics of Institutions. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed economics journals, as well as several books. The latest is "Islam instrumentalized: religion and politics in historical perspective" (Cambridge university press).
