Roger Owen

Harvard University

Roger Owen is the A.J. Meyer Professor of Middle East History at Harvard University and was previously the Director of the university’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies. His research interests include the economic, social and political history of the Middle East, especially Egypt. He received his PhD. in Economic History from St. Antony's College. Owen is now a retired Emeritus Professor of Middle East History and still attached to CMES.
