Sergei Guriev is the Chief Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). His research focuses on topics related to labor, political economics and economics of development. In 2004-13 he was a professor of economics and Rector at the New Economic School in Moscow. In 2013, he was a professor of economics at Sciences Po, Paris.
